About Us

Founded in 2023, JADA was established in honour of Jordan Crombie, who tragically passed away at only 28 years old, from complications related to Addison's Disease in July 2022. Jordan's family and friends were deeply affected by his loss and decided to dedicate their efforts to raising awareness about this rare disease, providing support to individuals diagnosed with Addison's Disease, and offering assistance to their families. Their ultimate goal is to prevent other families from experiencing the suffering they endured.

Jordan's passion for football inspired the launch of JADA. In his memory, the charity organised a football fundraiser that brought together family and friends to raise funds and awareness.

Driven by the desire to create a lasting legacy for Jordan and bring positive change to countless lives, Jordan's family has made it their mission to make a difference. In a short period, JADA has already made significant strides in raising awareness about Addison's Disease. However, they recognize that there is still much work to be done, and this is where your support becomes vital. By joining forces with us, we can continue to raise awareness and secure funding for research, ultimately improving the lives of Addison's Disease sufferers in the future.

We invite you to explore our website, learn more about Addison's Disease, and discover the various ways you can contribute to our cause. Together, let's honour Jordan's memory, create awareness, and make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by Addison's Disease.

Who is Jordan Crombie?

Jordan Crombie was a charismatic and lively young man. At 25 years old, he had it all - a fantastic job, a great social life, and a zest for life that was contagious. He loved playing football and was well-known in the Fife football circuit.

But life had a different plan for Jordan. Overnight, his world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. This rare condition affected his adrenal glands, causing a severe decline in his health. Over the next three years, despite the efforts of his family, his health continuously deteriorated.

The energetic and outgoing Jordan slowly transformed into a much quieter version. The simple pleasures he once enjoyed, like playing football, became distant memories. Every day became a struggle as fatigue and lethargy consumed his every move. The once-vibrant man had become trapped in a body that could no longer keep up with his everyday life.

Despite his own suffering, Jordan found solace in spending time with his family. They became his pillar of strength, offering unconditional love and support throughout his journey. It was during these moments that he realised the true value of family.

Despite being unable to play football due to his diagnosis, Jordan found a new avenue to stay connected to the sport. He embarked on a journey to become a football agent, dedicating himself to supporting and guiding aspiring young female footballers in pursuing their passion for the game.

Unexpectedly, on 29th July 2022, Jordan’s life was sadly cut short at only 28 years old, due to an unforeseen complication stemming from his battle with Addison's Disease. His sudden departure left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Determined to ensure his memory lived on, his grieving family made it their mission to raise awareness about Addison's Disease and educate others who were affected by it.

Carrying forth Jordan's passion for football, they organised charity matches, fundraisers, and workshops, spreading knowledge about the disease that had taken their beloved Jordan too soon. Through their efforts, they aimed to educate and support others to ensure that no one would endure the same confusion and lack of understanding that Jordan faced during his battle with Addison’s Disease.

The JADA charity is Jordan's legacy to make a change for those living with Addison’s disease, and his family to ensure this happens.
